The exhibitionOur fist joint exhibition from August 28th to September 3rd allowed visitors to view our whole family's work. We loved it and it seemed our visitors did!
Christoph: "We all are addicted to art! Rudolf Buhse - the father, is great with structures and colours. He could be regarded as the most modern artist of all of us, although he is the oldest... Carola Buhse - the daughter, is in the world of dreams and meanderings and swishing waves of live. Christoph Buhse, the son, is the music guy. He is a pro drummer and a composer of groovy moods, inspired by the thought of minimalism. Finn Buhse, the grandson, is a typical 12 year old boy - his drawings come with the freshness of youth that we adults have lost long ago. |
Who We Are |
The Buhse family - told by Christoph
Our family has been shaped by a variety of social and cultural influences: There's that thing I would call the "German way of Life", which I interpret as being very strict with others, yourself and of course with everything else. But we were lucky: Our father Rudolf was not not only working as a bank employee, he was also the organist in a church and played the hell out of the piano at home with Haydn and Mozart! We hated it but it was the entrance to art for us! He started to paint at the age of 45. Suddenly he also started to grow vegetables, and we felt he was against everything that wasn't against something. Well, he kind of turned into a hippie!! Our mother Anneliese was the solid part of the family and supplied us with a generous heart and unbelievably good food (a lot of Bohemian recipes). We all are very thankful for having had all these influences. So here we are: Carola, Finn, Christoph and Rudolf are inviting you to see our art and listen to our music! All of us are addicted to art. |
